Our Ice Age

Our Ice Age

1476

Moon upon Moon upon Moon, I hung
Swinging from that wind-swept Ash Tree
And lost sight of my cause
A ghost amongst gods
And I fell screaming into the Darkness beneath me

How many more times must I struggle to my feet
And prime a waning strength with a redundant tune?
Tie up another noose
And beg to be renewed
Moon upon final Moon

Huddled in the storming Snow
Cowering and cold
How did I end up all alone?
Hel descends upon Her own
Callous and manifold
Her coming Ice Age in tow

An inner Ragnarök takes place
But it falters and stagnates
Who was I to long for change?
So, I withdraw into my ways
Eternal Winter, and inner space
And into the arms of Our Ice Age

Our Ice Age
