The Rebellion

The Rebellion

Black Priest

We hide in masks of night
Black clouds of dread and scorn
We haste we tread, time runs out fast
Before the light we dawn

Our litany is rage
Our voice a bolt of fire
Enough with cringe, enough with fear
Prevails our desire

Where is your joyful grin?
The sparkling glimpse of delight?
Your pride is hurt, your finery burns
Our shadows crumble your bright

No more suffering reigns
We don’t pull back, don’t cower
We take your crown, put this world down
Spit in your grafting power

Shattered is my soul
Running through streaks of hope
To bring you down, down to me

Fighting through pain
Tearing this chain
Crawling to freedom

Breaking down submission, this is our creed
Tearing down your castles till there’s nothing more
My will is the power to forever be
A voice against oppression, everlasting roar

Now is the time to embrace
Your truth, your soul, your mind
No power can prevent you from
Being your own holy shrine

Be yourself against the world
Be yourself against your kind
A fist up front, packed with contempt
Over whom holds us blind

Shattered is my soul
Running through streaks of hope
To bring you down, down to me

Fighting through pain
Tearing this chain
Crawling to freedom

Breaking down submission, this is our creed
Tearing down your castles till there’s nothing more
My will is the power to forever be
A voice against oppression, everlasting roar

Break
Invade
Dishonor
Desecrate
