Lost Cause

You’ve found another reason
for you to keep on stalling
it seems to make no difference
when you are your best interest
back yourself with the lies you spread
in the end there’s no truth to defend
now you’re watching out over your shoulder
cause everyday the past gets closer
you’ve been running
hiding from the truth too long
now another day goes by and you stand there
looking down on those who carried you so far
now another day you say that it’s not fair
you brought it on and you can’t take it
