Nightlife

Michael Kobrin

You stay awake at night you
To settle the things you just woke up for
Walking through the crowd like
You’re the only man on earth
Dressed like a rock star
And smiling like a king
On your left there is a girl
In your right hand there is a drink

With the rhythm beat
You are swaying with the motions
You punch a man’s face
Because he triggered an emotion
When the people you call friends
Have your back
You’re the killer, you’re the victim
You’re the freedom and the wrack

But at the end you’re so cold
But at the end

You may listen to some people
But you know what’s best for you
People come and people come and go
And go and
All affected by their moods
There is no time for being lonely
There is no time to feel upset
There is a nightlife
Never stopping
All the things you want to get

But at the end you’re so cold
But at the end

You wake up in the morning
There is no one else around
Start to think about your dreams
And all the time you’ve left behind
You are going through a nightmare
But there is none to feel you’re bed
You’re just left with your emotions
And three dollars in your hand

And then again you’re so cold
You’re so cold
