Red Handed Denial

Creator, can you hear me?
For I have sinned.
I’m afraid that I might be the one.
Will you forgive me?
Hope has bled out before you and fear has been born.
Was my purpose seen fulfilled?
Has my life been worthy of glory?
Do I run?
How can I move on laden with the sins of yesterday?

Whatever hope is now forever past.
A revelation that could never last.
The dreams and memories
Are never buried only following behind.
It’s haunting, it’s menacing
I’m in a dream

He’s following me; a presence lingering, watching me.
Deliver me and all that I’ve been.
Begin the suffering.
I saw him, I fell to my knees.
His hand on my shoulder was like a disease.
I heard a whisper escape from his breath
“I am the beginning, and I am the end”.

Death, upon us.
Surrender your soul.
If I may die, how will you choose to go?
Watching me, deliver me, all that I’ve been, take me.
Begin the suffering
Left in unknowing, the darkness will follow, promises hollow.
The grim awaits his retrieval.
Collector of souls. Salvation, unknown.

Gravity has forsaken me.
The sand in the hourglass slipping away.
How do I run?
How can I move on laden with the sins of yesterday?
Whatever hope is now forever past.
A revelation that could never last.
The dreams and memories are never buried only following behind.
It’s haunting, it’s menacing, it’s taking me away to another place

Feet don’t fail me now.
We’re all tired souls.
The raven is calling.
Sowing the seeds of the end.
We’re singing: We march to the beat of expiration.
Collector of souls.
Salvation, unknown.
