I think I saw you in my sleep
As clear as before, felt the sweat off the back of your shirt
A sigh of relief, like you never even left us in the first place
(I know you saw me in my sleep)

Spoke a lesson that I’ll carry to my grave
I’m not the same as once before
Counting coffins here and making my amends
I can’t do this anymore

If I could stay inside this lucid dream
Where everything is exactly as it seems

Silence sets
I felt a shake in my voice
So many things went through my head
But there was only one choice
To speak on purpose as hard as it may be
“Why have you come to see me?”
