Who Cares

I confess I search for
The most beautiful words
To say how much
This struggle passions me
But I also confess that despite my effort
I’ve never managed to express myself entirely
But I try
No matter how hard I try to talk about
The flowers that grew between the stones
My poetic attempts will never get closer
To my feelings
So, welcome to the reality
Art feeds the soul,
But we gotta have attitudes
The indigenous blood
Dyes the American floor
The white man celebrates
All this yeas of genocide
Today, the new order has
To be maintained
If it costs lives, there is no problem
Because the economic dictatorship
Doesn’t see lives
So if you really care
Don’t leave our brothers alone
Do you really care?
Don’t let indifference prevail
The brutal strength can
Walk over bodies,
But could never walk over
The strength of that people
Hope is reborn is Chiapas
Let’s show that we really care
