All the old pictures are down from the walls, and I hope I know what I got myself ito ‘cause it’s gonna be ugly when it finally hits me that all I’ve got myself here…
is alone. I signed away the happy ending. Alone, with a big blank space where tomorrow used to be. Right here at ground zero, more familiar than home.
Curtain fall to scene of digging up old holes. Failure is likely but still self imposed. So don’t say goodbye, I tried to figure it out, but I can’t live without my doubts.
Don’t say goodbye, just say so long, because until the demons are locked away, and there’s no more sleepless nights. Until I learn what to do with a good thing they’ll be writing songs of love, but not for me.
